GETTING TO CAMP

Travel by public transport from either Brisbane or the closer Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) Airport is easily achieved as noted below.

Domestic Airport in Brisbane to Alexandra Headland Beach

This is a 6 zone plus Airtrain journey. Cost approx $40 for an adult and $30 for a concession.

TRAIN – from Airport to Eagle Junction Station. Travel time about 11 minutes.
TRAIN – change at Eagle Junction Station to Sunshine Coast (Ipswich via Brisbane) to Landsborough Station. Travel time about 1 hour, 12 minutes.
BUS – Landsborough Route 615 to Alexandra Headland Beach. Get off at stop 301506 which is on Alexandra Parade just south of Mari St. Right near Alex Surf Supporters Club and Mandolin Seafoods.

Sunshine Coast Airport (Maroochydore) to Alexandra Headlands Beach

It is probably would be easier to just get a taxi. Quicker and not really that much dearer, especially if it’s for 2 or more people.

TAXI – takes around 15 minutes and will cost between $20-$30.
If you comfortable using it, there are also UBER services that suggest a cost of approx $21.

Otherwise by Bus, the cost is about $11

BUS – Route 622 towards Maroochydore Station. Travel time about 21 minutes.
BUS – Route 616 to stop 301507 on Alexandra Parade. Closest to Mari St, just to the south.

Brisbane CBD to Alexandra Headlands Beach
Perhaps you are staying for NYE in Brisbane.

Adult fare around $20, concession $10

TRAIN – from Central Station on the Sunshine Coast Line to Landsborough Station. Travel time about 1 hour, 21 minutes.
BUS – ROUTE 615 – same as above if coming from the airport.

For afternoons and the outing day in the middle of the camp, the following activities are available within a reasonable distance from the campsite, some being reachable by the stated public transport.
