(The New Church Retreat is a new name for the previously named yearly camp, sometimes referred to as a summer camp or family camp. There will be no difference in content or the fun level, just a different name.)
The 2019 New Church Retreat will be held from Monday January 21st to Sunday January 27th 2019 at the Jindabyne Alpine Village in their lodge. More information on this retreat can be found here.
If over the last 80 years you have been at a “summer camp” you will know the general run of the program of our New Church Retreat.
We gather in the mornings and divide into age groups after morning tea.
Our sessions are generally led by the ministers at the retreat.
In the late afternoons, there are optional sessions which anyone can offer and lead.
We usually have the middle day – Thursday – of the retreat as the outing day and offer a choice of things to do.
Onsite or offsite activities are available in the afternoons and we offer a range of activities in the evenings.
Each day begins and ends with a time of devotion.
There is free time to mix and mingle with each other.
A Retreat Booklet is sent out to people who are coming, about a month before the start of the retreat. All the essential information is given in the Retreat Booklet, but we can also answer your questions if you contact us.
